Dara Cooper is the director of community health programming and partnerships at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation in Brooklyn, NY. The Partnership works to address food and health access issues, working towards an empowered community that determines and participates in an accessible, equitable, affordable food system for all residents. Two key focus areas are farm to early care at day care centers throughout Brooklyn and building infrastructure and demand for a local food hub in Brooklyn. Dara is very committed to community self determination and shifting power, particularly through our food system.
